It seems that my "paranormal ring" I discussed in my first post of 4/4/2010, may have a name!
Hungry ghost seems fitting. Asian folklore suggests beings are reborn as hungry ghosts because of their greed, envy and jealousy. They eat the emotions of living humans or whose actions are driven by emotions leftover from its previous life. This is so fascinating since it was hovering over my knee in an Asian restaurant! I also find it mind-blowing that I experienced this phenomenon in the summer, the time when hungry ghost festivals are being celebrated in Asia.
At the time, I was proud of myself for not touching the mysterious ring. I was feeling insecure about interrupting the flow of something so magical. The brave, curious side of me, wishes I touched it! I wonder what my intuition would say if the hungry ghost decided to visit me again this summer. Maybe I would feel confident touching it if given another chance, as I am not so ignorant to its existence.
I am looking forward to sharing more information in the near future!
