Welcome to my paranormal blog!

My goal here is to deliver new insight to my readers about a topic that may be real....or may not be real. It's up to you to decide.

On a personal note, I have had a few paranormal experiences in my lifetime. It makes me quite uncomfortable to think there just might be "something" after we die. After all, I treasure THIS life I have created for myself.

For years, I thought death was when you wake up and you don't remember your dreams. Just "nothing". Other possibilities are heaven, reincarnation, or just energy we cannot explain at the present time. When thinking about "paranormal", it is important to remember that it ranges from: ghosts, past lives, UFOs to actual psychics and more.

I hope you will enjoy my journey into the unknown mysteries of life the way I do: with an open mind and courage.

My first blog will start with one of my own paranormal experiences in Chestnut Hill, PA.

I was finished my dinner, it was closing time and my dear friend and I were about to leave one of my favorite local haunts. At this point, we were the only patrons left in the restaurant.

Q: What exactly did you see?

A: A glowing, fluorescent yellow, vibrating ring, about the size and shape of your pointer finger and thumb if you touched the tips together. It appeared at the center of the table out of nowhere, darted in different directions and then toward me. My chair was far enough away from the table that it could hover over my knee.

Q: What was your reaction?

A: I was dumbfounded. I tried to debunk all of it. My intuition told me not to touch it, or say a word. I wanted this moment to last forever.

Q: How did it end?

A: The bus boy approached our table clanking dishes, etc. He was taking plates away and the fluorescent ring darted from my knee, back to the table and dropped through the space between the table and the wall. Poof...gone!

Q: Did it come back?

A: It did. The bus boy informed us the restaurant was now closed. My friend brushed the soil in the plant's pot next to our table (still curious as to where the thing was). There it was, for a split second . It darted up through the plant's broad leaf and vanished into thin air.

Q: How did you feel?

A: I felt lucky, important, wondering why this happened to me. I continue to ask myself "What did this mean?" Whatever it was, it has taken my desire to share the wonderment of paranormal to the next level.

Q: Have you returned to the restaurant?

A: Yes! I have returned several times. I have also been seated at the same table on some occasions. I have not seen the paranormal ring since that memorable night. I asked the waiter if he had experienced anything paranormal at the restaurant. He said no, but added some of the staff claimed that they have encountered paranormal activity. None of the claims were of my special ring.

I am ready and waiting to talk "paranormal rings" to anyone who has seen such a thing!

  3. Hi Susan, wonderful blog about a very intriguing topic. What are your thoughts on "the dead" visiting us through sound, smell and dreams? My husband has had several incidents where he smells a very strong odor of cigar smoke in our garage. This happened on at least two occasions while he was puttering around in the garage. On one occasion he came in the house from the garage and I said, "Were you around someone who was smoking a cigar, you wreak of cigar smoke?" He looked at me shocked and said, I smelled the same thing, it's my father's cigar. I think he was in the garage with me. The interesting thing is that his father passed away long before we met and I had no idea that his father smoked several cigars a day! My friend occasionally smells his late mother's perfume around his house (as if she just passed through the room). I am curious as to your thoughts/experiences on this and perhaps if others have had similar experiences. Would you call these "paranormal experiences?"
